Unkle Sid (Electrified)
I found on a slip of paper the key
To all the secrets of our universe
A letter from my long lost uncle arrived
With an invitation to converse
In his note I could see
Where my Uncle Sid awaited me,
So I stepped onto the path into his world.
I swam through a sea, so many layers of reality
As he crept his way into my brain.
And I feel right at home,
In the realm where he taught me to roam
And all time’s spent awash in energy,
And you can’t rest your head,
Where never a single tear is shed,
The only place where we can truly see
I swam down a road that was paved with the sky
And tasted colors I’d never seen.
The music smelled just a little better that day,
And I was everyplace I’d ever been
There was a charge in the air
And rainbows dancing everywhere
And all the world fit neatly in my hand.
The trees blew through my hair
So I climbed the wind and rested there
While Sid taught me more secrets of his land
And I feel right at home,
In the realm where he taught me to roam
And all time’s spent awash in energy,
And you can’t rest your head,
Where never a single tear is shed,
The only place where we can truly see
Then Uncle Sid took me by the hand
And revealed the last of his mysteries
The real world would now be a welcome return
For at last I had the master key
All things are one,
From the birth of a child to the rise of the sun
And the knowledge put new wind into my sails.
I flew through the sun, Uncle Sid wandered off
And the road was soon gone
Then all that I had left were the trails
All that I had left were the trails
All that I had left were the trails
